Date: 13th July 2025
Format: Virtual

The International Young Catholic Students (IYCS) Editorial Board convened virtually on 13th July 2025, bringing together representatives from various National Movements who expressed their commitment to actively contribute as members of the Board. The meeting served as a significant platform to reflect on the vision, purpose, and frequency of the IYCS international magazine, which is envisioned as a powerful global tool for young Catholic students to learn, share experiences, express their creativity, and engage in meaningful reflection and action.

One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the decision that the Resources and Publications Commission, in close collaboration with the IYCS International Secretariat, will take the lead in the planning, coordination, and publication of the magazine. The magazine will be structured to include a rich variety of sections designed to inform, inspire, and engage its readership. These sections will include: Editorial/Message, Feature Articles, National Movement Spotlights, Interviews, Reflection & Spirituality, Creative Corner, Upcoming Events, Resources & Training, and Calls to Action.

Contributions to these sections will be welcomed from National Movements across the globe, and submissions are expected to reflect the key thematic priorities of IYCS for the period 2024 to 2028. To promote inclusivity and accessibility, articles and creative content will be accepted in English, French, and Spanish. The magazine will be launched on a quarterly basis, with one issue every three months, creating a consistent rhythm of communication and engagement.

Each Editorial Board member has been assigned responsibility for coordinating with designated National Movements to collect articles, updates, and content relevant to the magazine’s sections. This collaborative approach is intended to ensure that the magazine authentically reflects the diverse voices, realities, and hopes of young people within the YCS movement.

The first edition of the IYCS International Magazine for this year is scheduled for release in the first week of October 2025. The Editorial Board looks forward to unveiling a vibrant and meaningful publication that will serve as a unifying platform for Catholic students around the world.
