
On February 21, 2025, the International Young Catholic Students (IYCS) participated in the International Mother Language Day celebration at UNESCO Headquarters, highlighting its commitment to cultural diversity, education, and youth empowerment.

As part of this engagement, IYCS JECI Secretary-General Roshan Melwyn Lobo met with Pax Romana IMCS-MIEC President William Nokrek to strengthen collaboration between the two movements. Their discussions focused on deepening cooperation, expanding opportunities for young Catholics in global advocacy, and fostering youth leadership.

Additionally, IMCS and IYCS International Office Bearers convened to explore ways to enhance joint initiatives and address challenges facing young people today. The leaders emphasized the importance of unity in faith-based social action, ensuring that youth voices are heard in global decision-making processes.
This meeting marks a significant step in strengthening the partnership between IMCS and IYCS, reinforcing their shared mission of empowering young people to contribute to a more just and peaceful world.
