On May 31, 2025, YCS Indonesia, in collaboration with the International Young Catholic Students (IYCS/JECI), successfully hosted the Global Youth Talk: Young Leaders for Digital Peace and Inclusion — a powerful online gathering of young minds from across the globe.
The event aimed to address some of the most pressing issues young people face

in the digital age. Participants actively engaged in a variety of discussions surrounding false news, online harassment, data privacy vulnerabilities, and ethical conduct online.
The session featured insightful presentations by:
Dr. Jesús Cevallos, a computer scientist and research fellow at the University of Insubria, Italy, who shared his expertise on digital safety and ethical tech practices.
Theodora Xenia Sunjoto, a content creator and student at Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, who provided a youth perspective on digital activism and inclusion.
Highlights of the event included:
- An interactive sharing session from the speakers.
- Breakout group discussions on digital ethics and social challenges.
- A launch of a social media campaign aimed at promoting responsible digital citizenship among young people.
Held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM WIB (GMT+7) and 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Paris Time), the webinar saw enthusiastic participation from youth leaders, students, educators, and digital advocates from various countries.
The event reaffirmed the importance of equipping young leaders with the knowledge and tools necessary to foster digital peace and inclusion in their communities and beyond.
Participants left the session inspired, informed, and more committed to being agents of positive change in the digital world.
