We witness in today’s world, increasing violence and terrorism among others, which negatively affect the measure of advancement of many countries. West Africa has had its own share of this ugly menace which has many ways inhibited growth and development in the sub-region. As students, we more than ever convinced to promote and build a culture of peace
As part of the IYCS Global Campaign; “Protecting our Common Home” and YCS Africa orientation guideline (Peace building and Conflict Transformation), The YCS Anglophone West is committed to equipping young people in West Africa English with the relevant skills as well as providing necessary platform for responsive actions to these contemporary challenges. Hence they has organized a 7 day workshop training/ exchange program under theme; Students, Ambassadors of Peace; Our role” from the 4th – 11th Dec., 2016
This training will gather 60 students and coordinators accompanied by their Chaplains and Religious Assistants in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
