UNESCO 42nd General Assembly

At the 42nd UNESCO General Conference, our Secretary General, Mr. Innocent Odongo, advocated for universal internet access and holistic education. He emphasized IYCS’s commitment to global education and the importance of nurturing academic knowledge, emotional intelligence, moral principles, and practical skills. Addressing the digital divide, he called for collaborative efforts to ensure ethical, high-quality online education. Discussions at the conference highlighted peace advocacy, climate concerns, digital and ecological aspects of education, and the role of UNESCO in preserving culture and heritage. IYCS also participated in events like the International Conference on the Ethics of Neurotechnologies, addressing the ethical framework for neurotechnologies and proposing “neuro rights” to protect brain activity and prevent discrimination.
